We have been farming regeneratively for 25 years with the goal of restoring and regenerating the natural balance of healthy soils. Our mission is to produce a more nutrient dense product and contribute to a more sustainable and biodiverse agricultural system. We have a diverse range of life in our pastures (over 14 species of grasses and legumes!) and we don't use any harmful chemicals such as fertilisers or pesticides.
Our award winning Jersey herd has been bred on the farm for optimum health over the last 50 years. We have a single closed herd which means that we don't buy in any cows and breed all of our own animals to ensure strong genetics and wellbeing.
Our rotationally grazed Jersey herd spends each day on biodiverse pastures. This not only has health benefits for our herd, but also results in a product that has many health benefits for our consumers. Dairy products from pastured fed animals vs. grain fed animals are richer in antioxidants, contain essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6 as well as include vitamins like C, E, K and beta-carotene.
Not only are we an artisanal product, meaning that we make our cheese by hand using traditional tools and techniques, but we also only use milk produced by our own cows and don’t supplement with any off-farm sources. This makes us an authentic Farmstead Cheese and means our products have 100 % traceability back to the land from which they originated. This reflects in the unique flavour profile of our cheese.
