What makes Dalewood butter special?

It all starts with live culture, fermented cream from our pasture-fed Jersey cows – naturally high in healthy Omega-3s, Vitamin A, and Vitamin K.

We slow-churn our butter the traditional French fermière way, which translates to "in the manner of a farmer's wife", or in other words prepared in a simple country style. We then use a method called malaxage, from the French malaxer, meaning “to knead.” This gentle hand kneading refines the butter's flavour and aroma, and creates a consistently smooth and creamy texture that brings out the butter’s full character.

French-style butter is considered among the best in the world, and we follow this practice to make a unique product.

With a high fat content, our butter works superbly well for pastries, but our favourite is still layered on a warm, fresh piece of bread!
